SLIM NECK and short taper

Way back some 18 years ago Biomed-Scanos designed the HACTIV-CEMTIV-REACTIV in the most classical design. Then over the years the design has been perfected in order to enhance clinical results. A slim neck and short taper were incorporated increasing the ROM by 12° and preventing ceramic inserts from chipping annihilating any posibility of the distal part of the taper coming into contact with the insert rim. Most of the Majors followed within the year.

Note the ‘ancient’ design outlined in green, (still the standard with retrograde implants) and the optimized design in red-brown. This minor modification has greatly enhanced clinical results and been copied by many a manufacturer these days.
