Design rationale :
The cemented primary component of the Scanos Total Hip System is a replica of the HACTIV® stem and implanted with a common instrument set. Like the HACTIV® femoral component the CEMTIV® cemented stem is designed for optimal long term mechanical stability.
Compared to the HACTIV® cementless component the CEMTIV® overall dimensions below the neck are reduced by 0.75mm in order to ensure a regular and uniform cement mantle. The CEMTIV® is a size for size system.
